True Vintage stocks a large variety of clothing brands each with its own unique sizing guide.  The fit of garments will vary depending on the cut, style and fabric used.

To help you with your shopping experience and give you the upmost confidence in your purchases we have provided measurements for all our items.

Below is a guide to how we measure all our items:

Firstly, we take a pit to pit measurement by laying the garment flat, face up and measuring the cloth from its widest point from under the armpit to the other armpit.

Pit to Pit

Then we take the length measurement by laying the item flat on the ground with the back of the shirt facing up. The measurement is taken from the seam where the collar band attaches to the yoke (the fabric that sits across the shoulders) straight down to the hem of the item at its longest point.

The listing should look like this:

Size: L

Pit to pit - 25.5"
Length on back - 27.5"

To ensure your purchase fits perfectly we recommend measuring a piece of clothing that fits well and using this as a guide.

With the United Kingdom's departure from the EU coming up on December 31st 2020, unfortunately things are going to change for True Vintage customers across the EU from January 1st 2021.

We have been working hard behind the scenes to do all we can to minimise the impact this will have on our European customers, but unfortunately there will be some small differences to our services from 2021 onwards.

You may notice an increase in the cost of having your order delivered to your address in the EU. We have been working closely with our couriers to keep these costs as low as possible, and provide you with several options when it comes to how you would like your order delivered.

For non urgent orders, we are introducing our new Super Economy delivery service, which will be our most economical delivery option available. This will offer cheap shipping from the UK into the EU, but with a slightly longer delivery time to be expected.

This service might require you to pay a small fee when your parcel arrives at the border, which will be set by national governments.

The biggest changes you will notice in price are to our current DPD Economy service and our DHL Express service into Europe.

These services are now subject to additional taxes, fees and duties, all which must be paid at checkout.

As our premium services, these delivery methods will remain our quickest and most uninterrupted, with delivery straight to your door, and any fees included in the price displayed at checkout.

Whilst it may cost a little more, we will continue to work hard to keep this service as our most successful and premium service, which we understand our loyal customers come to expect from us.

Along with a slight increase in the cost of shipping, you might experience a small delay in the time it takes for your order to arrive.

Our courier partners along with national governments have been preparing for months to handle the increase in customs checks that will come into place after Brexit, but we would advise you to expect some minor delays.

We will continue to monitor the situation, and work closely with our courier partners to provide as accurate delivery time as possible. For any orders that exceed our advised time frames, you can always reach out to our customer service team via the link here or email us at info@truevintage.com

You can always rely on our 8 am GMT stock drops for a new batch of vintage clothing to shop.

Keep heading back to site, and if you have any questions for us then please don’t hesitate to get in contact with us, either through our website here, or email us at info@truevintage.com
